Chilli Cheese Tops
Now this is just one of those simple and I mean really simple snack that you'd enjoy any time of the day. Melting cheese with crunchy bell peppers, your taste buds will thank you for this.
Try it out...
Ingredients
250 grams grated mild cheddar or parmesan cheese (Avoid using mature cheddar)
A pinch of salt
2 to 3 green chillies finely chopped
1 teaspoon hot chilli sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1 egg
1 cup bread crumbs
Method
Mix the grated cheese, chillis, chilli sauce, bell pepper and salt. Add just a pinch of salt as cheese itself has a little salt in it. Make small little tops with the filling. Dip it in egg. This acts like a binding agent and prevents it from breaking while frying. Dip the tops in bread crumbs to evenly coat it. Deep fry the tops until they turn golden brown. Remove and use a kitchen serviette to absorb excess oil. Serve with some tomato ketchup.
